In grass flower bulbs are easy to apply in areas where a lot of traffic is passing by. Think about a park entrance or a busy road leading in a city. Green grass is the perfect undertone for spectacular colors.

Safe on gas and labor.
Planted areas should not be mowed due to the need to let the bulb foliage die back naturally. It helps reproducing new bulbs for the next year. In rural areas this will safe minimal one mowing round to two or three in the more urban areas.
Mass plantings of spring bulbs, facilitated by in-grass bulb planting machines have been popular in Europe for many years and thanks to recent efforts by the Flower Bulb Research Program, are gaining in popularity in the USA.
The Flower Bulb Research Program at Cornell University is doing research with in-grass plantings since 2017. Professor Bill Miller looked for answers on questions like: When can you safely mow in-grass spring bulbs without harming future flower display? What type of flower bulbs do perennialize?
